I think this page needs a total re-work. Some of the advice given is not only incorrect but misleading. I am going to try and incorporate my guide (I'm in the process of making) into here. If anyone has anything they want to add, put it on the talk page so I can test it and complete a good taming guide :) -Mojo 23:56, 11 August 2008 (CDT)

Out of interest, is it possible to use the potato-in-flask method (per creating leather) to reduce the amount of food used from .25 to 0.08? (Will try next time I have a tater if no one knows) MadWallaby 21:30, 14 October 2008 (CDT)

You can use potato in flask method to reduce amount used.

Some of the info seems to be conflicting. The list of taming levels at the bottom of the page and the "important notice" section both have different values regarding what animal taming skill is required to tame bears. If someone could clarify which info is correct we can update or remove the incorrect data. Funkapus 09:15, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

That list at the bottom seems severely outdated to me. I have like 52 taming, so I have no chance to test the lower level values. Arvid 02:32, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Today I tried to tame a champion adolescent unicorn. My taming skill is 54 and I was using 75ql oats. Out of 80 attempts, it ignored me 6 times and attacked me 74 times. Taming a champ Unicorn is definitely higher than 50. Kaptkaos 20:40 13 July 2011 (PST)

At skill 55 I have found that taming an adolescent lurking bear give me skill about 50% - 75% of the time, for anywhere from 0.002 to 0.005 for each skill up. The skill is just flying now. Kaptkaos 16:15 16 July 2011 (PST)

Please keep the skill levels required to tame certain animals on the Freedom values, not the Epic values. NintendoJoe (talk) 21:46, 3 January 2014 (CET)
