Food storage bins are useful for two main reasons. First, you can fit more than 100 objects into them. Second, they stop all decay of objects put into them. There are two major downsides: the quality of the items you get out seem to be the average of the items you put in, similar to combining items in your inventory, and 5% of the stored items are lost per 30 days. ==Notes==

Finished food items (meal, gulash, casserole, stew, sandwich, porridge, stew, soup, dishwater) do not fit in.
Mushrooms and most healing cover ingredients don't fit in too. Meat (including Filet) does not fit in. Wemp and cotton seeds fit in [[bulk storage bin]]s.
