Samling is the starter town of Independence on the Freedom Isles server, located at the north coast. The deed is held by the game moderator Levedara. If your avatar happens to die in the game, you will always have the option to respawn here.
Samling is rather small, compared to other and former starter towns. It will most likely not be expanded or fit with a merchant row like Newtown for example, Player-driven towns are featuring trading places instead.
It has a token to access your bank account at, and a bartender that gives new players free food in their first 24 hours of total playtime.
