=Introduction/Starter Tips=&lt;br /&gt;
After starting Wurm you see the Login Screen, where one can enter his Username and Password. Below it is a checkbox, labelled &amp;quot;Play as Guest&amp;quot; which is enabled by default. You should uncheck it and enter a password to create a new &amp;quot;real&amp;quot; Account, because guest Accounts are not stored after you logoff.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Upon logging in, your avatar will spawn (see [[Spawning]]) in a village called [[Newtown]] (NT), you spawn here the first time you play, and also when you die (there are some exceptions). &lt;br /&gt;
Do not steal in and around NT. The guards will quickly make swiss cheese of your body.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If you get stuck in a large pit or cave and definitely cannot get out or if you find a bug/glitch Etc, type '/dev' to contact any of the GM's/Devs if they are online. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;(See [[Helpful People]]). Please use this feature sparingly.&lt;br /&gt;

=Movement=&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;To move in the world of Wurm, simply use the {{Keyboardkey|keytext=W}} {{Keyboardkey|keytext=A}} {{Keyboardkey|keytext=S}} {{Keyboardkey|keytext=D}} keys on your keyboard.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;To look around, leftclick and hold in the 3D-view, and move your mouse.&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;To center the view, press {{Keyboardkey|keytext=C}} on your keyboard.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

The [[Compass]] is one of your most important tools for getting around Wurm. To see your [[compass|Compass]], make sure it is in your inventory then place it wherever you like in your [[HUD]]. You should also know where the [[WhiteLight]] is at all times. It is a good point of reference when trying to find your way.  Currently, the [[WhiteLight]] is only in the [[Wild Server]].  Last, but not least, you can look at a [[Settlement token]] to see a wind rose.&lt;br /&gt;

Note that when your green stamina bar goes down to nothing, your speed while walking will slow dramatically, and that if you are climbing and it drops to less than about half way, you will stop climbing and may fall.&lt;br /&gt;

To equip an item (you can only hold one at a time), simply doubleclick an item in the inventory. You can work with items within the inventory, there is no need to drop them on the ground. As an example, you activate/equip the carving knife, and rightclick on a log in your inventory, to create new items with it. '''Note:''' If you carry too much, speed at which you walk is reduced. You can also become encumbered, and walk extremely slowly, by carrying very heavy items such as felled trees. Improve your strength skill to carry more.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Remember you can also use your bodyparts for certain things, like molding clay, by activating one of your hands by expanding the Body-category and doubleclick a hand, and then rightclicking the clay in your inventory, to work with it.&lt;br /&gt;

Rightclick on objects, tiles, people, anything, to interact with it. A popup menu appears saying &amp;quot;''Requesting...''&amp;quot; which means the game is fetching data from the server about the specific object you are trying to interact with. When it's done (which is fairly quickly), you are given several options in the menu of what to do with the object. There are different options for different objects. You get more options depending on what item you have active. For example, you are presented with another option called &amp;quot;Cut down&amp;quot; if you have the Small Axe active and right-click a tree.&lt;br /&gt;
