Information
A secretive town currently using a size 10 deed, Redfield is founded upon turbulent land. The entrance is a steep, almost vertical cliff festooned with beasts, and the majority of the island is plagued by fruit trees.

A very large area has been flattened to accompany room for building within the deed space and a small (21x21 tiles) area next to it for residency.

The main parts of the town have been shifted into this new, flattened area, as the old town was located right next to a narrow cliff-edge which is currently the residential area. Redfield is greatly concerned with aesthetics and beauty, so it was decided to work the whole town into an L-shaped plaza. This decision wasted space somewhat, but the town managed to fit all the important buildings into the deed area as well as a few residential ones.

The town features an ~200 tile mine with many fully-raised ceilings and a very long shaft called the "Fish mine" and a very deep "Bear Pit". To the west of the settlement, there is a size 5 homestead that has been fortified by tall stone walls and palisades entitled "West Redfield". In the near future, the town plans to colonize north, south and further westward using size 5 homestead deeds.

Redfield is not actively seeking new members, but will always have use for high-skilled members. Redfield won't accept total beginners unless under special circumstances. We organise everything using Ventrilo, so a microphone is a must.
Project Wilderness is the codename for a project currently under way. Its closest neighboring settlement is Eden.

Information about the project is currently unreleased but there is intelligence that reports of a very large workshop along an extremely large body of clay. The area is also infested with many animals and creatures so it is not recommended for the weak or faint of heart.
Tips and tricks
At least one player has found the best way to grind bowery skill is to create 10 to 20 of a certain type of bow. There does not seem to be a skill difference between improving a normal bow or a short bow, so going with a short bow is easier, as it takes less skill to make.

Once many bows have been made, improve them all to 10QL, and then increase them all to 10+ bowery skill. You will quickly get to a point where you need to make more bows to imp, so always have some new ones handy. A toolbelt is VERY handy to have around.

Recently noticed something in regards to repairing. When I repair a high ql item that I can produce myself (i.e. a forge or arrow for instance) I take less off the ql as opposed to something I cannot make high ql (shield for instance). It seems to me that for higher ql items, you take less off the overall ql if you have a high crafting skill that relates to the item you're repairing, not just the repair skill itself. Noticed something similar to this. I believe that the tool-skill has a huge impact on this... for example, I can repair my hammer to a much better degree than say, my lantern.
However, I am still horrid at repairing my longsword even though I have plenty of skill with it and 45 WS. Still needs more testing, but here is my two cents anyway! -BP
History of BoS
As remembered by the inhabitants.

The story of BoS actually starts without any of its current members, with a fellow by the name Amader. He, in turn, attracted Solver to the game and Einnel, Daash, Theacke, Madboy, Rmt and Tottman were soon to follow. The site where we all settled down was dubbed Wolf Hill (first incarnation), due to the frequency of said lupine at the site, even though it was too close to Serenity Port for an actual deed to be planted without permission. We asked for that from the Serenity Port mayor, but were rudely denied and so eventually we packed up and left for other lands.

Amader, together with his RL friend Madonna, went separate ways from the rest of us and settled in the far north while the rest of us finally found ourselves at a tranquil bay in the south, approximately SSW of Mesa Verde, where we settled down and founded the Bay of Swedes in December 2007.

Bay of Swedes (second incarnation) was the name of our community, as most of us wanted their own homestead deed and founded them separately. With time, our reputation on the Home server grew and our gathering became widely known. During this time some of our members stopped playing, but most remained. Several ambitious projects were attempted, and some even completed ;), and by the end of its time the bay had been transformed into a lush park of walkways, flower fields and oak tree groves. Supplies of Champ enchanted tools and iron lumps in QL70-95 were never a problem with the close connections we had with others (for example Udgaard).

It was not ruled by a single individual, such as a mayor, but instead held together by a sense of friendship and camaraderie. The founders where Daash, Einnel, Gustavl, Lillmad, Madboy, Rmt, Solver, Theacke and Tottman. They regularly came together to work on larger projects.

The members started out with the thought of independent places in the bay. Before the KvK raid where implemented most members of BoS had some kind of deed. Villages size 5(Kendra:Solver and Oppboga:Madboy). Homestead size 5(Arboga:Tottman, Fellingsbro:Minimad, Guldsmedshyttan:Rmt, Magrathea:Daash and Nora:Aske). One decided to stay undeeded(Einnels mansion:Einnel).

When Rolf implemented KvK raids, we realized that none of the deeds were suited for defense since they were built to have easy access and look good. Instead of demolishing and rebuilding all the deeds we joined forces in founding a new size 10 village and naming it Fort BoS. From an Island of 5x6 tiles it was enlarged into a 19x19 tiles flat area. We then built a tower in the middle and Ql80 walls around the edge. With no land bridge, boats became our transportation between main land and the island.

One week before the freedom server opened, the remaining members each packed a boat and traveled south. We made camp on an island on the outskirts of the map waiting for the border to open. On opening day we all set sail looking for a new place to plant the BoS concept. We found an island suitable for our needs, and named it Island

BoS Featured
* A Colossus looking down on the bay.
* Highway leading directly to NT. It was considered a public 2-tile cobblestone road with gravel on the sides, completely free from towers.
* A nice looking port with docks for both large and small ships/boats.
* All roads in BoS were 2 or 3-tile wide, but these, unlike the NT road, were NOT public roads.
* Most of the settlements were close to water and encompassed the complete coastline of the bay.
* It had all the regular convenient resources available, such as clay, peat and ores.

BoS Allies
*Mesa Verde - Lilbear
*Aegis - Riverboy
*Tenakill - Asidecay and Becket
*Udgaard - Mith, Anthon (main supplier of iron and rock shards)
Kendra has recently been disbanded due to it being designed from a living friendly and aesthetically pleasing perspective.
Instead of converting their long loved home into a dark and hostile fort, it's ownew and inhabitants chose to abandon it in terms on living.
Now it is only an empty shell maintained for its beauty and memory.

In its glory days, visitors to Kendra could take pleasure in walks around the area and rest in the guesthouse.
situated on a small hill that has been heavily terraformed, both the land and the flora, to make a beautiful setting for the inhabitants of the hill.
In and around the village you might still find the Colossus of BoS, guard tower, fountain, a nice park and a archery range.
Next to the village you might also find Einnel's mansion and his lookout point.
Einnel is also cobuilder and founder of many build projects on the hill.
