Description
A size 20 village deed. The second village, after Newtown, to reach this size! It is located 45 minutes south-west from Newtown, connected by Public Highway. The village was founded by Kinoss as the second settlement of the Arfen Nomads. At that time also known as Camp One, or Aten for short, it was connected to Camp Two Akhheket. Based near the Bay of Arfen, it has large hunting grounds to the south, peat and mountains to the west and huge forests to the north. It has a large deposit of clay at it's doorstep and extensive mines with different kinds of ore veins. A large trading dock, guarded by a Colossus, is open for sailing and non-sailing customers from all over Wurm.

Are you interested in a city with helpful members, a great layout, and tools for your every need to become great at Wurm? If so, then look no further than Ahkenaten! Check the Wurm forum: http://wurmonline.com/forum/index.php?topic=164.0 and contact the mayor or one of the co-mayors if you have any questions.
Description
Silver Lump comes from melting Silver Ore. This process returns 0.1kg of Silver Lump per 20kg of Silver Ore.

To create an Silver Lump you'll need 20 kg of Silver Ore and a heat source (could be a forge or a Camp Fire). You must put the Silver Ore into the heat source and wait till it is Glowing from heat. This might take anywhere from 10 minutes to nearly an hour, depending on the quality of the silver ore. Once the Silver Ore is glowing from heat it will turn into a 0.1kg Silver Lump, which can then be used on either a Large Anvil or Small Anvil.

Usage
Description
A pet is the product from Taming animals.

Pets can be lead by making a rope active, right clicking on your pet and selecting lead. It will then follow you like a cow does.

If your pet is an animal that can swim, it will follow you into the water.

Orders
Pets can be given orders as well:
Pets can be told to walk to a tile within range of your mouse.
Right click a tile, select pet, then select Go here.
The pet will then walk to that spot.

Pets can be told to attack another person or animal.
Right click the target, select pet, then select attack.
The pet will then attack the target.

Pets can be told to stop by cancelling orders.
Rightclick your pet, then select pet, then select cancel orders.
It will cancel any orders to go places or attack (unless already engaged in combat).
Notes
The same rules for skill loss apply when a Whitelighter's pet attacks another Whitelighter who has a positive reputation.

A pet will auto attack another animal/player of another kingdom (or if the player/animal is negative in reputation or is aggressive). This includes auto attacking a friend's pet (at this stage).

To stop your pet from attacking in the middle of of combat you must be leading the pet. If you are, you simply walk away and your pet will follow.

You will lose your pet if you tame a different animal.

Main Page / Useful N00b Links / Village deeds

General
Village deeds are used to create villages. These cannot be created, they must be purchased from a trader, and are at a set price.

A village deed gives you a settlement token, which has a bank, Spirit guards, and information and rules about the settlement you can set.

Village deeds come in various sizes and prices. The bigger the size, the higher the cost.
Villages can only be founded in your kingdom. To create kingdom territory, build a Guard Tower. Villages must be at least 100 tiles away from each other.

Size 10+ deeds also give you a Trader, which can be placed by the Mayor.
Size and area of control
Higher sizes claim more land. The area claimed is the deed's size in a radius around the token.
The formula is (Size*2+1xSize*2+1).
For example a size 5 deed will have a control area of 11x11 tiles and a size 10 21x21. (Deed size x2 +1, so a size 100 deed will extend 201x201 tiles)
Upkeep
Village deeds require upkeep which is taken from an upkeep fund that everybody can donate to from the deed. You donate money to the upkeep from your bank account.
The village empties the upkeep fund continously though the cost can be measured per month.
The upkeep cost depends on your guard level and is a percentage of the deed's original purchase cost.
Light guards
(Spirit Guard / Spirit Sentry)
cost 10% of the price per month
Medium guards
(Spirit Avenger / Spirit Brute)
cost 31% of the price per month
Heavy guards
(Spirit Templar / Spirit Shadow)
cost 56% of the price per month
This means that a size 5 village deed, which costs 25 silver, on light guards has an upkeep cost of 2.5 silver per month.
The guard level can be lowered at anytime but increased only once a week.

You can pay for deed upkeep only from your bank account, this stops your deed from disbanding itself.

Cost and citizens
There is a limit to the number of citizens a Village deed can support. It is the deed size^2 * 0.4.
Note that the cost of a deed is (size/10^2.)
16000 citizens

Advantages
Respawn after death
This is probably the single biggest advantage to deeds, and is what allows players to spread out from the starting area. Citizens of a deed get the option to respawn at their deed after death, rather than just at Newtown (see Spawning). Further, if the deed has an alliance with another deed, citizens also get the option to respawn at those towns too.

Guards
All Deeds come with at least some guards which help protect you from thieves, raiders & wild animals.

Slowed Decay Rates
Fences and buildings decay at slower rates on deeded areas.

Village Chat
People belonging to a deed get their own group chat called Village Chat. It works much the same as local chat where you can see the people who you can talk to, except that you can talk to your fellow villagers from anywhere in the world, they do not have to be in your local area.

Suiciding on a deed you are a Citizen of
You lose less skill from suiciding whilst on a deed, this can be useful if you wish to travel quickly to an allied town or village.

Control over the area
Almost everything within the deed area can be controlled by the deed owner and those he gives permission to (commonly called Elders). For example, taking things, cutting trees & digging can be made illegal within the village grounds. If it is illegal, a non town member can not do those things. With the exception of stealing, where they have to kill all the guards first.

Reputations
The deed owner (and elders) also have control over reputations on the deed. If the deed owner has reason to distrust a certain person, he or she can set their reputation to a negative number. A person with -30 to -100 gets attacked by the guards automatically, whether they are of the same kingdom or not.

Also, a person who has earned a bad reputation by stealing will automatically get attacked by the guards. To see your reputation, type /reputation into your chat window and press enter.

Banks
A bank offers several advantages. Most importantly, it offers absolute security to items and money. Only the player who deposits in his or her bank can retrieve from the bank. A bank has 2 sections.

Item storage:
Up to 5 items of any size (as long as they can be carried in inventory) can be stored in a bank. Decay rates are minimal and the items are only accessable by the account owner. Items can only be retrieved from the current location of the bank, unless you transfer the bank to a new token, which takes 24 real life hours. You do not have to be a village member to have a bank at a token. Banks cannot contain items which already have something in them.
Money storage:

Main Page :: Useful N00b Links :: How do i get Food/Cook guide
Introduction
As a Newbie you will get free food for the first 24hours (In game, not real time) at the Tavern of Newtown. The Tavern is the green building in North-East Newtown.

Foraging And Botanizing
You will need to Forage and Botanize to make your Stew, Soup, or Casseroles. To do this right click a Grass Tile than select Nature > Forage or Botanize

NOTE: You can only forage/botanize once on the same tile every 24 hours. Any attempts past then will find nothing.

Pottery Bowl
To make your Pottery Bowl for cooking, you will need to first find clay, when you find a deposit Double Click your Shovel, than Right click the Clay Tile and Select Dig. You will get Clay, now Double click your left or right hand than right click and select Create > Containers > Clay Bowl. You will now either fail, get an Unfinished Clay Bowl or get a Clay Bowl. If the bowl is unfinished you will need to perform actions on it to finish it.

Put the (not unfinished) Clay Bowl in a Fire to finish the bowl, it should change colour and be called Pottery Bowl now.

Campfire
To create a campfire, first find a tree, double click your Small Axe and right click the tree than select Chop Down, keep selecting Chop Down to the same tree until the tree vanishes. Now there should be a log or a felled tree on the floor. For the felled tree right click than select Chop Down to create logs, Now double click either your Small Axe or Carving Knife than Right click the log and select Create > Miscellaneus > Kindling. Now that you have a Kindling Double click your Steel and Flint and right click the Kindling and Select: Create > Campfire

Combining all Three things to Cook
First off you should Forage and Botanize, now create your Clay Bowl and BEFORE you heat up the Clay Bowl put the Foraged And Botanized Item in the Bowl then put it in a Campfire ( Please note that the food will only cook into a pottery bowl, so you may have to wait for a clay bowl to turn to pottery). ( If you already have a Completely Finished bowl just put your food in the bowl and put it in the campfire) Note that you can add more than just one Foraged and Botanized Item in a bowl for a Larger Casserole. We'll cover the recipe for Meal on this page as it's currently the most useful recipe.

Meal
Ok, First off you will need to fish using a Fishing Rod or Fine Fishing Rod. Once you got a couple of fishes put them in a Frying Pan, now add one vegetable from Farming or bread (sometimes a spice is required too) to your frying pan and just put it in your Fire and wait :) Eat up! Meal is the most nutritious food available in Wurm.

My Cooking Wont Go up.. why?!
You are probably cooking too high or low difficulty food, at Cooking Level 1 cook a couple of 3-5 Difficulty Foods, to check the difficulty Right Click then Examine the bowl it will also tell you what the food will turn out as. Try cooking lots of stews at once to gain cooking skill faster.

Gaining cook skill is a mystery, although Rolf has posted on the forums the way it should work, what works for one player doesn't always work for another. Use trial and error to find what works best for you.

Using 1 cooked meat and 1 vegi works well until about skill 30. Once you get to 30, skill gain seems to slow down and you will prolly only get skill for every 5-10 meals.

Note: To cook faster, placing meat and vegis in a fire (not in the pan) wait for them all to become at least searing hot, and then place 1 cooked meat and 1 vegi in the Frying Pan, it will become an instint Meal and will heat faster than in the Frying Pan.

Using 1 cooked meat and 1 vegi works well until about skill 30. Once you get to 30, skill gain seems to slow down and you will prolly only get skill for every 5-10 steaks.

Note: To cook faster, placing meat and vegis in a fire (not in the pan) wait for them all to become at least searing hot, and then place 1 cooked meat and 1 vegi in the Frying Pan, it will become an instint Steak and will heat faster than in the Frying Pan.

We'll cover the recipe for steak on this page as it's currently the most useful recipe.

Steak is the most nutritious food available in Wurm.
