Description
A high guard tower.

Guard tower is used for defensive purposes. It also increases kingdom influence, depending on the allegiance (loyalty to a particular kingdom) of the player who started building the tower. It also spawns tower guards who are hostile to enemy kingdoms and aggressive animals. They do not However attack Enemy guards from the same town during a PMK switch over and not when called on each others (as they are all non-aggressive).

Creating
You cannot create a guard tower inside a building. Failing to start or continue, the material(s) used will be damaged.

Guard towers take up one tile, but will overlap about half a tile in a 3x3 tile area around the central tile.
When attaching the last piece, try standing a bit diagonally, to place the tower more aligned to the tile.

You cannot turn a guard tower after it has been made.

Guard towers must be built within your own kingdom's influence.

Guard towers must be situated at least 50 tiles apart. Towers may be built minimum 150 tiles from another kingdom, except 60 tiles if you are within your own kingdom.
NOTE: These Values are Currently Being Reconfirmed sue to PMK problems and Player feedback.

Influence
A tower will create at least 60 tiles of kingdom influence, unless it is at the edge of opposing territory. There are also such things known as "hidden zones." Hidden zones are areas that mysteriously increase the influence radius of an altar or tower by an unusual amount. Hidden zones are most commonly found on mountains or sometimes lakes. There are also hidden zones in places around the world, sometimes small, sometimes large. Hidden zones have been known to add up to an extra 20 tiles on a altar's presence and sometimes up to 100 tiles on a tower's influence.

Destroying
Guard towers can be destroyed with a weapon, such as a large maul. Catapults have no effect on towers. You may only destroy your own kingdom's towers if they are made by you or are located on your settlement.

Guards
For each 10 QL of the tower, it will spawn 1 tower guard, up to 5 guards.

Tower guards attack players of an enemy kingdom automatically. They will not, however, automatically hunt other hostile creatures within their range, rather they will only do so when ordered to by a player. This can be done by saying either "help" or "guards!" in Local chat within range of a guard tower, after which the guards will attack your current target. They will also attack KoSed player, if player enters a deed that is protected by a Spirit Templar (this works on PVP and PVE servers).
can someone also include the fs that one can start to kill these creatures at safely Stika 1 20:31, 14 May 2008 (CDT)

Agreed. This page could have another few columns showing what fs is needed, and what types of armor/weapons increase your odds against the beast. I don't have the knowledge of this information. --Silverhammers 01:46, 14 March 2009 (CDT)

: That's a rather complicated equation, and the table is already quite crowded. Seems better to leave it for the dedicated animal pages. - Dashiva 05:01, 14 March 2009 (CDT)

Can someone please explain the yellow-ish cells? I'm guessing they mean "under certain circumstances" such as the horse can swim if led... and so on. Also, I'd like to see a row added 1/2 way through the list to repeat the headers. On my PC at home I'm able to fit the entire list on the screen, however my mobile phone & laptop cut off about 2/3 down and I have to scroll up to check each column header. --purp 10:08, 15 May 2009 (CDT)
: Well, I think yellow-ish cells most certainly refer to the information in the "Special" column. As for the horse, I would think you're right, that was my first thought, too. --Ulviirala 10:28, 15 May 2009 (CDT)

Is there a reason for the extra title column in the middle or the table? - KyleBooze
: Hi Kyle, if you read my talk above you will see why this has been added. It's quite helpful for people who don't have really big screen resolutions. It's good web-etiquette to repeat headers when tables are too large to fit on a 1024x768 screen. --purp 04:09, 16 May 2009 (CDT)

added FS to the table based on wiki articles of animals... but seems to be horribly inaccurate. NEEDS TESTING. Also, I'm not familiar with wiki formatting but the sorting needs to be tweaked a bit (i.e. doesn't sort names right). -Kinoftheflames

I suggest we move this page content to the page "Creatures" since animals, humans/wurmians, and monsters fall under this category, while the term "Animals" doesn't exactly cover humans/wurmians or monsters but they are still on this page anyway. -Kinoftheflames
: I agree with this, the page should be named Creatures, Animals should direct here. The index is fine, but trolls, goblins and similar humanoid fiends are not really animals. -- Anseth 23:44, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

The table doesn't reorder the FS correctly. To fix, 1 should be 01 and 5 should be 05. Not pretty, but it works. -- Kanif 13:48, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

In order to convert from Libila, the BL faith, to a WL faith such as Vynora, Fo or Magnaron, you must first have a WL player ask you to join the JK kingdom through the "Set Kingdom" option given when right-clicking on a player of the opposite kingdom. If you do not and attempt to use the WL altar, you will be given a message saying Libila will not allow you to leave the Horde of the Summoned.
Strength identification
Contrary to common assumptions, the quality of a healing cover is of no consequence to the strenght of the cover. To identify if it is weak or strong, one can examine it. One of these answers will be returned:

:A bunch of interwoven grass mixed with various healing ingredients. It will help against some wounds. (weak)
:A bunch of interwoven grass mixed with various healing ingredients. It will pretty efficient against wounds. (?)
:A bunch of interwoven grass mixed with various healing ingredients. It will be good against wounds. (strong)
:A bunch of interwoven grass mixed with various healing ingredients. It will be pretty good against wounds. (?)
:A bunch of interwoven grass mixed with various healing ingredients. It will be very good against wounds. (?)
:A bunch of interwoven grass mixed with various healing ingredients. It will be supreme against wounds. (?)

Effectiveness
The effectiveness of a cover is the amount of points the healing cover will add to the base rate of natural healing, which is 5 each 20 minutes. It is determined by the substances used to make the covers.

It can be seen, once applied, while examining a wound. It will show as a number between parenthesis at the end of the wound description. Example:

:You see a small bruise that the lower back.
:It is covered with some healing plants (2).

Weak covers will have an effectiveness of 1 to 10 while strong covers will have an effectiveness of 10 or more.

Additional notes
:* You cannot mix two items of the same type.
:* Butchered items can last for more than one creation.

The village system, even though efficient, is limited and could be improved to match the medieval setting: feudalism.

Renaming
Authority
In the medieval era, aristocracy was the structure of power. The mayor was seen as 'head of a household'. He was the 'director' of the 'employes' of a place. The power is described as a lord giving a fief to a vassal. Hence, if a king gave a plot of land to an aristocrat the lord is the king, the fief is the land and the vassal is the aristocrat.
'Levels' of lordship
Deeds
Notes
Weak or strong identification
Contrary to common assumptions, the quality of a healing cover is of no consequence. To identify if it is weak or strong, one must examine it.

There is a range from pretty weak to very strong: pretty, fairly, ..., very.

I observed that weak covers will have 1 to 10 effectiveness while strong covers will have a 10 to 20 effectiveness.

Usage
Activate a healing cover, right click on a wound and choose Treat. The success rate is relative to your skill in First Aid.

Notes
Weak or strong identification
Contrary to common assumptions, the quality of a healing cover is of no consequence. To identify if it is weak or strong, one must examine it.

There is a range from pretty weak to very strong: pretty, fairly, ..., very.

I observed that weak covers will have 1 to 10 effectiveness while strong covers will have a 10 to 20 effectiveness.
