== Notes ==

For anyone wondering how strong these creatures are, I tried attacking one with 16.34FS, full 50ql chain armour and dual 40ql longswords with 55/48 [[Flaming Aura]] cast on them. Just for reference, I can easily kill focused adolescent huge spiders and brown bears without going below 50% health.

I started attacking the scorpion, focused shortly into the fight, and died leaving it on bleeding(I didn't see the scorpion focus). I returned, gathered my stuff(it wasn't starving, and my copse was butchered, which would suggest that they butcher corpses near them), tried attacking it again(this time it had a 20dmg medium wound), I killed it but I only had 23% health. I'd suggest having 30+ FS with at least 30ql gear before trying to kill one, of course, the FS needed will go down with armour enchanted with [[Aura of Shared Pain]] and weapons enchanted with [[Flaming Aura]].

I had the opportunity to kill 2 adolescent scorpions separately, and tried to see how height bonus affected the fights. Both fights had the same setup as in the first paragraph, except now I have 20FS and both longswords are 56ql, for the first fight I had a nice height bonus and killed the scorpion, 80% health remaining. For the second fight(after healing)) I took the scorpion down to equal ground and killed it, I had 30% health.

A champion in Wurm Online is a player who has perma-death, also known as real-death. Once such player dies three times, they are permanently dead, and can no longer log into that player account. Once they are forever dead, they'll have to create a new character with a different name to continue playing Wurm. The players that become champions are recorded in the [[Hall of champions]].

Your faith and soul are strong enough to become a Champion of <god>. The decision to do this is final, and extremely dangerous. If you choose this path, you will eventually pass the spirit currently blocking the path to the netherworld, effectively dying forever. He will block your passage three times more. This means you will not be able to play this character any more after you die the third time. It does however have its advantages: You will immediately get a boost of power, granted <god>. You will also gain a permanent bonus when fighting and performing certain other tasks. Your faith and favor will be set to max, and you may never lose or change deity. But first and foremost, your name will live in the history of Wurm forever! Do you want to become a champion of <god>, realizing that this is a final and irrevocable decision?

* To become a champion, you will need to be a [[priest]] with 50+ [[faith]].

An iron ribbon is a component, it is never used for [[Improve|improving]] anything. As such it's a common practice to mostly use the low quality iron resulting from re-smelting scraps or from poor quality [[iron ore]]. You can always improve the finished item later on (The same practice is commonly found when making [[nails]]).
However, it may be wise to have at least a few of them of higher quality available as some items require them in the first phase of construction, and thus will be lost if you fail at it. A higher quality ribbon will give you better chances of success when creating an item, whereas continuing an unfinished item will only damage the ribbon slightly if you fail.

A High Guard Tower. Used for defensive purposes. They also increases [[Kingdom]] influence, depending on the allegiance (as in loyalty to a particular [[Kingdom]]) of the player who started building the tower. You can see the founder of the tower by examining it. The Tower spawns Tower guards which are hostile to enemy kingdoms and aggressive animals. For each 10ql of the tower, it will spawn 1 guard.

== Influence ==
The amount of [[Influence|influence]] a Tower gives is based on a number of things. Firstly, a tower will create at least 50 tiles of influence, unless it is at the edge of an opposing territory, where it will then overlap and the overlapped area is useless. There are also such things known as 'Hidden Zones'. Hidden zones are hidden areas that mysteriously increase the influence radius of a altar or a tower by an unusual amount. Hidden zones are most commonly found on mountains and sometimes lakes. There are also hidden zones in places around the world, sometimes small, sometimes large. Hidden zones have been known to add up to an extra 20 tiles on a altar's presence, & sometimes up to 100 tiles on a towers influence. Hidden zones are very mysterious things, not many people know that they are there, and none know how to find them, except [[User:Rolf|Rolf]].
