Description == A large cart is a mobile container used to transport cargo and players. It has a larger capacity than the small cart and can be dragged by a player or pulled by up to two hitched animals. == Usage == * A large cart can have a commander and up to three passengers.* A player must have 20.1 mind logic to command a large cart.* Non-premium players can hitch animals to the cart but cannot command it unless they have been premium before and have at least 20.1 mind logic.* All carts need to be at least 10 quality to be functional.* It can store up to 100 items directly in the hold. By using a combination of other containers, this storage limit may be increased.* Carts slow down as the load increases. The quality of the cart helps offset the weight penalty. This effect starts above 30 quality and can reduce the weight penalty up to 3x at 100 quality.* The maximum weight a player can drag in a large cart is determined by the formula: (body strength * 7 - carried weight) * 10 - 240.* A cart cannot be driven over tiles that have a total slope of 40 or more over any two adjacent edges.* Although carts cannot be dragged in water tiles, they can be pushed. They can be dragged through tiles with 5 slope of water or less.* Commander stamina is drained while driving the cart. However, having zero stamina has no effect on the cart movement itself.*  |name=Large == Hitchable creatures === Many of Wurm's creatures may be harnessed, or "hitched", to pull a cartor wagon. Below is a complete list, in no particular order.Hitchable The strength of a creature can prevent it from being hitched. activeConditions, such as "greenish", can also affect strength. === Security === * The owner and any person with the Manage right can modify usage permissions through the window available from the right-click > Manage vehicle context menu.* Permissions control Driver, Mount, Access inventory hold, and Manage settings rights.* Each right can be granted or denied to all Friends, Villagers, and Everyone. The owner will always have all permissions.* Permissions only take effect when the cart is locked with a small padlock or planklarge padlock (2.0 kg)* The owner can attach a lock if one is not already attached. Older carts may not have locks attached, but all newly created carts automatically include a working lock upon creation.* Any player can drag a non-hitched cart in the wilderness, regardless of whether it is locked. passiveDeed settings, hitched animals, weight constraints, and local security can help prevent carts from being taken by others.* On Freedom, carts cannot be lockpicked except by the owner. Attempting to do so will result in the following warning: Stealing carts is punished with death penalty here. You decide not to.* Never use an abandoned cart, even if unlocked. If you drive the cart onto a deed and disembark, you may not have permissions to embark again or unhitch the animals. === Capacity === A large cart normally holds a maximum of 100 items directly in the hold. This total capacity can be increased by placing other containers, such as raftsand crates, inside. Up to 7 rafts can be added to a large cart, or 3 large crates or 5 small crates. Some items, such as felled trees, cannot fit in rafts and are indicated as such below. {|groupclass=Containerswikitable |! Item !! Note: At very low fine carpentry skills, it is a good idea to make a couple of extra shafts and planks.=== Loadable items =
== Hitching ==To hitch Not all items are currently listed. In order to load an animal item, you must be embarked as commander or passenger, have permission to a access the cart's hold, lead it with and have 23 ropebody strength, rightor higher. Right-click the cart, item and select "Hitch". Up to two animals can be hitched but some animals may be too young, weak (underfed), and/or old to drag a cartLoad.

=== Hitching notes =Skins applicable ==* For convenient speed, it is recommended to hitch two animals; age does not affect speed.* Brown bears are the fastest draggers so far (discuss speeds on the Fancy Large cart|talk page).* The cart doesn't move faster when going downhill, but it will slow down a little when going uphill, just as if riding an animal.* Terrain type does not affect speed.* Animals cannot drag a cart over tiles that have a slope of 30 or higher at any edge; move back a little and go around it.* Driver stamina is drained while driving the cart but it has no effect on the speed if the driver runs out of stamina. However, the driver might be in sudden trouble when being chased by an aggressive creature.* Maximum weight animals can drag is currently unlimited.* With a young bear and a young bull a speed of 12.96km is on a large cart over level cobblestone is achieved.* Be wary if the animals pulling the large cart are woundCarted the cart's speed will be affected negatively until the animals recover.
Notes
* The first plank is lost if the initial attachment is failed.
* The quality of the cart affects its decay rate.
* The volume of items will affect how many can fit into a cart (see next section).* Although carts cannot be dragged in water tiles, they can be pushed.* 47.23 15 kg of dye is needed to paint a large cart.* The maximum weight a player can drag in a large cart is determined by the formula: (Animal Body Strengthtraits and conditions affect cart speed.* 7 - carried weight) * 10 - 240Animals remain hitched to carts during server restarts.* Large carts have Hunger is the primary and rare reason that a "Manage vehicle" option to set who (friendscreature may go aggressive, villageattack and kill another creature that is hitched, or everyone) can drive (embark as "commander"), mount (embark/ride as passenger), access inventory hold, manage destroy the settings, barrier protecting said animal and transfer ownership. However, when opened, that name can't be changed, unfortunately.* A keel section cannot fit in large carts.* Can not be locked anymore. == Useful capacity quantities ==*7 rafts*18 felled trees*73 logs*328 pieces of rock shards (32x 200kg, 8x 20kg) or 6560kg*100 dirt, heap of sand, peat, ore (312 Max if 6/7 rafts are used.)*100 hull planks Can be adjusted by stacking other containers, such as rafts, insidethen kill it.
== Building items inside carts See also ==This is a precarious thing to do as sometimes an item must be on the ground in order to be continued or finished. Other times, the item may be too heavy to remove from the cart once finished or too heavy to remove to add the last piece, leaving the player with a 99% complete item that can never be used. A patch was applied in October, 2008 making it impossible to finish most items inside carts, including, but not restricted to, fountains.
A few amusing things that used to be able to be finished inside carts: * altarSmall carts, * fountainWagons, guard towers, forges (could not light), and mailboxes.
