To examine an [[item]], right -click anywhere/anything you want examined it, and then select the "Examine" option. To examine an item on the ground or a ground [[tile]], double-click on examine to examine it. Note: the mouse double-click button, if set, may not work. Also, double-clicking an itemin your inventory will [[activate]] it instead of examining it. And double-clicking items in other [[container]] inventories outside your inventory has no effect at all.
