== General Information ==
Shantytown was an undeeded settlement located on the Wild Server. It was primarily known as a camp for refugees who haven't managed to settle in the [[Pirate Outpost]]. Shantytown was an independent village, only geographically associated with [[Pirate Outpost]]. Its full name was "People's Socialist Republic of Shantytown". However, the full name was used only in case of declaring wars, signing peace treaties and creating alliances. Shantytown is a peaceful [[Jenn-Kellon]] settlement, often described as "[[Newtown]] of Wild". Inhabitants of the village were always helpful, and always ready to aid newcomers.

During the last weeks of [[Shantytown]]'s occupation, citizens from [[Pirate Outpost]] had been causing grief and general chaos. Citizens of [[Shantytown]] had taken offense and also had taken action against them. At one point raiding them and doing damage to their town, stealing and looting the town. After this both settlements had become enemy.

* After Shantytown was abandoned, [[Player:Milp|Milp]] took a lot of the relics and inside joke items from Shantytown and put them in his new town
* The original "EATING OKAY / TAKING NAY!" sign resides in [[New Prypjat]].
