Introduction & Info
Founded in late April 2011, Tiger Den is a small village which is more to be considered a homestead (No more homesteads, all deeds are officially villages.) It is not a village that is officially recruiting, it is a small area that I can truly call home. Whenever I am online, I am working on it, and no one tells me what to do with it, the benefits of having a deed :) Of course, mine, and the villagers. I can't take the credit for this place. It is located at 33y 20x (It is on the Community Map) just by Waterside. This does not mean we are not welcoming, please, come visit and chat and hang out! However, griefers will receive -100 reputation and be automatically killed by the guards, naturally. This village is here so I can use being a mayor to help me further increase my game experience, give me a place to grind, and have a place where I can put what I want where I want, and have no one complain about me messing up their stuff. It's a great place! The area has a problem with strong hostile creatures, namely Huge Spiders, bears, and trolls. I plan to take down every single lair soon.
Story
It's a funny story. I was wandering as a nomad when I came across this place. It was deeded, and owned by Nownowson. He was kind and helped me out, and I sailed over to Halcyon which I joined but got kicked out. So I wandered a long time, then just left the game seeing no progress. then just took a break from the game seeing no progress. I told a real life friend about Wurm (Thecuriouscat), and got them to join. So, seeing something fun was happening now, I started playing. We wandered around then finally, seeing the center island is too populated, sailed back over to that place with the helpful village. Thing is, I didn't know I had gone back to the same area of the village. I had, as a matter of fact, forgotten that village. And I stumbled across a little flat spot that looked perfect for a house. I then logged off for the night, and when I got back on, prepared to get to work. But suddenly, I found out why it was flat. I turned and looked. I hadn't noticed it, but this was the remains of that helpful village. All the houses were gone, and the fences were around 40 DMG. It was like a chill down my spine. That village that was thriving and helpful only a month ago was abandoned, and I had unwittingly stumbled upon it. I started making the house, when I just one day decided to deed the whole place. So the legend of that helpful village lives on. It was kind of passed down to me in a way. Because if you ever need help, we're a real helpful village!
