==Description==
* Hens do ''not'' graze in Wurm.
** When eating from a pile, they seem to eat roughly 10 seeds per RL day.
** When Hens will lay [[egg]]s when fed and kept on the appropriate terrain (following types of tile: [[Dirt tile|dirt]], [[Grass tile|grass]], [[farming|cropsEnchanted grass]], [[Mycelium]], [[moss]], [[steppe]], [[lawn]], [[bushes]] tile(normal and enchanted), they will lay and [[eggfarming|crops]]s.* To hatch eggs, lay a [[egg|fertile egg ]] on a tile and allow it to decay. When it reaches 100 damage, there is a small chance that a chicken will emerge.
* Hens will be hunted down by carnivorous animals or mobs.
* Dies at [[Age#Creatures|aged]] stage unless [[Animal husbandry#Caring|cared for]].
* You can have a few up to 13 hens loaded into a [[Chicken coop|chicken coop]] for easy access to eggs. They can be fertile or infertile and will decay while in the chicken coop.
