The village sits on the shore of a beautiful bay, The Bay of Bears, perhaps, and is bordered to its west by woodland, to its east and north by the bay, and to the south by the main highway to [[Newtown]]. Three sides of the village, western, southern and eastern, are protected by [[Tall_stone_wall|tall stone walls]]; the Northern side of the village is open to the bay.

The village it self is only half constructed. Two residences have been completed in the south-western corner of the village and are home to the Mayor and [[Player:Becky|Becky]]. In addition, there is a village store, a workshop next to the forge, a small shed and Fore Paws Village Shop. This shop is located by the front gate and is home to a [[Trader|Public Trader]], though from time to time we restrict access. The shop is accessible to travellers and local residents without the need to enter the village front gate, though during transactions they are safe within the village boundary and are subject to the protection of the [[Spirit_guards|Spirit Guards]].

The village has a large internal farm area growing [[Pumpkin|Pumpkins]], [[Potato|Potatos]], [[Oat|Cereals]], [[Corn]], [[wemp plants|Wemp]] and [[Cotton]] - all with good success. We also have 1 large farm area across the road from the Village on Pine Lake, and another a little further down which is a community project for the Bears of Wurm.

The Village of Small Bears is a very relaxed company of people, as is the community of which it is part, The village motto, though clichéd, says much of the attitude of the Mayor in general: Peace, man, peace.

Most villages on Wurm seem to be size 10Well, and the Village of Small Bears has no immediate ambitions to grow enormous. However, there is no shortage of ideas. There are two projects being considered at present: '''Forestry''' We are keen to promote the growth of wood useful to our needs, specifically Birch, Oak and Cedar. We already have an Oak Nursery and are planning development of the hillside to the west of Small Bears. This will be terraced and secured and be planted with Oak for boats, Birch for fuel and Cedar fro carpentry projects. '''A Small Venice''' The more adventurous plan is to extend the village itself further into the lake, creating a small [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venice Venice]] or [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annecy Annecy]] like village. This can be done without having to increase the size of the deed, but if successful, and if there are enough contributing citizens, then a deed extension should be considered. A future plan for Wurm is to allow The Village of the construction of [[Planned_features|boats]] to make use of Small Bears has grown much over the considerable water arealast year. The manufacture of It's harbour boasts many boats , we have built two giant colossi, a pier has been constructed, and the beach and training people in their use is seen as a possible source of revenue for the village as well shore frontage are being finished as a lot of funI type.

The village is only a few minutes away from [[Newtown]] and is simple to locate. Head east from [[Newtown]] over the half completed land bridge across the lake. Turn left on the eastern shore and follow the path up the side of the hill. Continue on the path over the hill and down the other side. At the junction, as the main highway turns left towards [[Serene Bear Landing]], continue straight on down the hill following the smaller path; the path widens again after a few hundred meters. The Village of Small Bears will come into your sight on the left hand side of the road behind the long tall stone walls.

Gurubear is We are keen to encourage and help any and all players that want to settle down to this rather laid back and Zen type of existence round Bear Bay. There is plenty of land available to build on, or you may be interested in moving into one of the vacant properties in the village itself. If you wish to become a citizen, all we ask is that you are prepared to join in with the various projects and to help others both in and around the village. We are looking especially for players who are prepared to give a long term commitment to the village and the community around Bear Bay.
