Moon Metal Chain Armor
It has been discovered that the material of chain armor does not change any properties of chain armor except for appearance.
"Chain armour made out of other materials is only cosmetic. Iron, seryll, glimmersteel, etc. chain all function identically in terms of damage reduction. Having a different material just gives you that extra swag that charms the beast into going easy on you"
Damage reduction formula
The formula was calculated from numerous tests on the test server and is correct for the QL range 2-90; it should be true for above 90 but I cannot spawn high enough QL armour to test. QLs below 2 are simply counted as being 2, I presume to make even extremely low QLs such as 0.01 worth at least something. --Dragon (talk) 20:39, 11 April 2014 (CEST)

rename article
This article should be renamed "Comparison of Armour Types" or something like that. "Armour" is too vague of a name and makes the article obscure. Also, are we using the British "Armour" with a "u" or not, as a general rule?--Arcas 9:53, 1 October 2010 (CST) Agreed, and the Armour page should redirect to Category:Armour as Armor currently does. Since the game uses Armour in a few places and never uses Armor, it's probably best if we use the British spelling for the main page and redirect with the American version.
