Beta is the time when Wurm Online was being tested by the community (before the 6th of June 2006). In beta there were many notable differences including:
* A different terrain rendering engine.* Less tile types.* One "wild" server.* Completely free.* No Limited [[kingdom|kingdoms]]support.
