Once lead they will not go into water. You can milk them every real-life hour. Cows may wander while grazing for food, so fence them in a large area with a lot of grass or crops. Use a [[small bucket]], [[small barrel]], [[pottery jar]] or a [[pottery flask]] on them to milk them.
