Exorcism is the skill used when you attempt to destroy an [[altar]].
* High skill increases your success rate. Failing to desecrate an altar can result in [[wounds]] with both [[Venom|poison]] and [[Rotting_Touch|rotting Rotting touch]] characteristics.
* [[Champion player|Champion]]hood will raise this skill by 50 points, to a maximum of 80.
* Followers of any deity need at least 10 [[faith]] to attempt a desecrate action.
