Hens are found in the wilderness. You must [[Taming|Tametame]] one before you can [[Lead]] lead one. After they eat 2 items they will lay 1 [[Eggegg]] every 3 hours. [[Egg]]s can be used for [[cooking]] or eating. You could just let them reach 100 damage also so a [[Chickenchicken]] would hatch. Hens will follow [[Roosterrooster]]s. [[Chickenchicken]]s will also follow Hens.
