== Wurm Online Tutorial ==
Welcome to the unofficial Wurm Online tutorial. This tutorial will teach you how to feed yourself and how crafting works in the world of the Wurm.

== The Wiki ==
What you are reading in now is the official Wurm Online Wikipedia. Just like the original Wikipedia, the Wurm Wiki is a large, online encyclopaedia containing all sorts of information, in this case specifically about Wurm. The Wiki is written and updated by dedicated players who feel a need to help out other people in regards to information. In the Wiki you will find many different types of information, from guides like this one, over small bits of lore to information about the different player made cities and construction guides to almost any item ingame.

To find information in the Wiki, just type your request in the search bar to your left, for instance, if you want to know how to create and use a catapult, you can just type in “catapult” and it will take you to a page containing building instructions as well as small bits of info on using the catapult.

As the Wiki is made by the players, do not expect it to always be 100% correct. Much of the current Wiki was written during the beta test of Wurm Online, and thus, some pages can be a bit outdated. You might also find that the Wiki can be lacking any information whatsoever on a specific subject, in this unlikely case, it is a good idea to ask ingame or on the forums. Just make sure that you have checked the Wiki properly to see if the information you seek is not there somewhere before you start asking, as quite a lot of people will just tell you to check the Wiki if you ask too many questions.

If you at one point should feel like you have the ability to add to the Wiki, you can send a private message to a GM on the forums and request a Wiki account.

Hit F1 on your keyboard to access the game console. The console is not commonly used by the ordinary player, except for turning on the additional client statistics window where you can see your current speed, distance travelled and other nice statistics. To open the statistics window, open the console and type in “toggle stats” without the “”.
Spell effects, or “[[:WikiPedia:Buff (MMORPG terminology)|buffs]]” as they are known in other games, are temporary magical effects that affect your character.
=== F3: Inventory ===
The inventory menu contains 2 things, your body and your [[inventory]]. Your inventory is where you carry the items you start with, create and pick up. Your body is where your equipped items are placed, as well as where wounds will be located when you take damage. If you click the + next to your body you will see your various body parts, as well as what they contain of wounds or equipment. The “Active:” on the bottom shows which tool or item you are currently using. To activate an item, double left-click on it.
