Ok, First off you will need to fish using a [[Fishing Rod]] or [[Fine Fishing Rod]] Once you got a couple of [[Fish|fishes ]] put them in a [[Frying Pan]] (Using a pottery bowl is possible but hard to find the right combination to make it a steak) now add one botanized spice to your frying pan and just put it in your Fire and wait :) Eat up! Steak is the most nutritious food available in Wurm.

You are probably cooking too high or low difficulty food, (I've heard you can only cook x3 your Hot Cooking Level) at Cooking Level 1 cook a couple of 3-5 Difficulty Foods, to check the difficulty Right Click than Examine the bowl it will also tell you what the food will turn out as. Try cooking lots of stews at once to gain cooking skill faster.
