Darkenstone is a very large deed stretching from the canal to almost 120 tiles southward and from the shoreline of the east to the shoreline of the west effectively encompassing the entire peninsula. The canal remains one of the oldest active deeds still in it's original placement on the server.

Originally formed by Gaffeek, Rogan and Batolemaeus on Mol Rehan home server. They moved to Freedom with Aureate, Persephone, Tritus, Thijs and others upon the server's opening day in 2009 becoming one of the first settlements established. Gaffeek and Rogan eventually left the game. In time Aureate and Persephone inherited the deeds and expanded the area.
