As I saw it, the Rolling Hills deed is just a gatehouse to the main deed. There was nothing of real value there. Yea, you smashed the gatehouse, but didn't get onto the deed because you would have become trapped. Whether is was clever village design or our swords that prevented you from getting on deed, you didn't succeed in raiding Merkanamost. I really don't care what this article says, but I figured I'll throw in my 2 cents.

The article is titled "Siege of 'Rolling Hills'". Rolling hills was raped. The wiki should be filled with accurate articles, not half-arsed ones trying to make the WL look powerful.

The primary reason why there are no articles about the previous raid on Merk, is simply the fact that there were NO players from the village online to defend the village. Meaning there could be no accurate counterpoint to any BL accounts of the attack.

About the Battlename: The main reason I called it the Seige of Rolling Hills is the fact that the name of the battle must reflect as accurately as possible what occured there. Sure you killed everyone once (except me, but I had to log due to lightning storm in RL), but they STILL managed to run you out of the caves and off the property.

Second, if RH was to have been "raped" as one of you put it. I'd be expecting a flat pad to be sitting where RH was, and the cave complex to be completly ruined. You did neither, and even if you tried to do so. The 2nd wave of defenders still would've overwhelmed your party and run you off. So I belive a Seige term would be most accurate in terms of what occured that night. --[[User:Raichiotto|Raichiotto]] 14:07, 30 January 2007 (CST)

Technically Rolling Hills fell and was drained, we didn't make it to the main deed through the caves as it didn't look like an option. Focussing on that entrance would have cut off our escape route as the heavy guards would have respawned behind us, ensuring defeat. BL troops retreated to the beach to open an alternate entrance to the caves, plan that failed since the cave network had been reinforced. I left battle at that point, someone fill me with the details from there.

All the "defenders" were killed at least once. We cannot stop them from respawning.

You may call this a JK victory if you like, but it does you no justice.

The Article was moved to Siege of Merkamanost because its obvious that Rolling Hills was not the target. The Battles section of the wiki is quite small.
