Max quality of the finished whetstone is determined by the quality of the [[rock shard]] used. Try to use as high quality a shard as possible, however it's no big loss to just make a new one later on as they need very little source material.

* Whetstones decay very rapidly so should always be stored in inventory or a [[Gift box]].
