Activate the whetstone, right click the item to be improved and select '''sharpen'''. The item must be [[temperature|glowing]] in order to be improved.

* Whetstones can [[decay very ]] rapidly so they should always be stored , one way to slow this is to retain in a player [[inventory]].* They cannot be repaired (though , although damage can be removed from them with the help of the spell [[Mend]].* Max Maximum quality of the finished whetstone is determined by the [[quality ]] of the [[rock shard]] used. Try to use as high quality a shard as possible, however it's no big loss to just make a new one later on as they need very little source material.* 0.03kg of material the shard is lost on a failed creation attempt.
