Bloodwode Fortress

-Disbanded on September 29th, 2009. Pre-Emptive disband due to lack of upkeep, villagers, and mayor premium about to expire-

[5:37:08] It is 20:08:50 on day of Wrath in week 3 of the starfall of the Fires in the year of 999.
[5:37:08] The village of Bloodwode Fortress has just been founded by Ivanstreptovsky.

Led by Imperial Emperor IvanStreptovsky and ArchDuchess Whisper/Talulah, Bloodwode Fortress was once the capitol city of the mighty Bloodvale Empire, long before the rise of Jenn, Kellon, Mol-Rehan, and Horde of the Summoned. Most of the documents from the Bloodvale Empire has been long lost since the fall of the Empire, but the original knowledge of Bloodwode Fortress and the Empire itself has been preserved, and now it is making a comeback under the flag of the Horde of the Summoned

Bloodwode Fortress is an up and coming Size 10 Village in an undisclosed location. It will be a heavily fortified settlement devoted to producing Arms and Ships for Horde of the Summoned and Mol-Rehan in the war effort against Jenn-Kellon.

The settlement was founded on Day of Wrath, Starfall of Fires, Year 999

History of Bloodwode Fortress and The Empire

Bloodwode Fortress was originally the Capitol City of the Bloodvale Empire which began in the year 359 NT as a small group of nomadic warriors. Tired of moving from place to place, they started a small settlement, 16 men strong. Soon, the settlement began to grow. Traders, workers, other warriors, and even members of other groups came and made their home in the settlement, which the warriors had named "Bloodwode", an honorific to their tendency to be crazed by the blood of their enemies, to lust for war.

398 NT, Bloodwode was renamed Bloodwode Fortress and had nearly 300 people living in it. The city itself had become fortified to prevent raiding attacks, and smaller settlements had begun branching out from it's original location. In all, combined with the main settlement of Bloodwode Fortress and the outlying villages, the area was pushing 600 citizens.

450 NT, Bloodwode Fortress had grown to almost 1500 citizens and controlled nearly 50 other settlements around it, totaling nearly 4000 citizens. It had one of the largest standing militaries of that date, numbering close to 2250 soldiers and 750 archers. It was at this time that the council of the original Bloodwode Fortress, descendants of the founding 16 warriors, decided they needed to permanently join together. As such, the Bloodvale Empire was formed, and all of the settlements that had been allied with Bloodwode Fortress agreed to coming under its rule. Current Emperor is Imperial Emperor Inkursi Anixivo, age 27

470 NT, 5 years after the Gathering invented the concept of money, the Bloodvale Empire bought the land they had been established on for so long.

509 NT, Imperial Emperor Inkursi Anixivo dies of age at 86. Leadership of the Empire is passed to his nephew, Jae'dst Vorkanor. Current Emperor is Imperial Emperor Jae'dst Vorkanor, age 19

552 NT, the Merchant house Mol-Rehan also purchased land from The Gathering. Imperial Emperor Jae'dst and Johen King agree to an alliance. Bloodvale Empire now controls nearly 170 settlements, 3 large shipyards/harbour cities, 5 Fortress cities, and one of the largest mine systems in the known world. Nearly 15,000 citizens under its rule, with a standing army pushing 7500 soldiers and 1500 archers.

Leadership of the Empire goes to his daughter, Natasha Karishnakol age 24.

658 NT, a cease-fire is called by the leader of Lómaner, and a tentative peace is agree'd to by both sides. Little land changed hands during the conflict.

663 NT, Imperial Empress Natasha Karishnakol dies of disease. In her will, she states that instead of one child, she wants both of her children, Ivanova Karishnakol and Pyotr Karishnakol, twins, to rule the Empire together. Ivanova and Pyotr Karishnakol become the new Empress and Emperor together, age 21.

700 NT, Bloodvale Empire begins expanding aggressively for unknown reasons under the rule of Ivanova and Pyotr. Nearly 50 settlements and 2 much smaller kingdoms are brought under the Empire's influence in a 15 year crusade. Bloodvale Empire is now pushing 75,000 citizens.

702 NT, Imperial Emperor Pyotr Karishnakol dies of an unknown disease. Imperial Empress Ivanova Karishnakol, upset at the loss of her brother, constructs a massive monument in his honor near the center of Bloodwode Fortress, across the plaza from the Cathedral dedicated to the goddess Inara. Pyotr's body is buried at the foot of the monument.

720 NT, the monument is completed on the 19th Day of Tears, Starfall of Silence. Collectively, the monuments to Pyotr and Ivanova are known as The Monuments of Frozen Sorrow, due to Emperor Demetri Karishnakol paying homage to the monuments on the day it was completed every year.
