* Whetstones can [[decay]] rapidly. One way to slow this is to retain in a player [[inventory]].
* They cannot be repaired, although damage can be removed with the help of the spell [[Mend]].
* The maximum quality of the finished whetstone is determined by the [[quality]] of the [[stone shardshards]] used in its creation.
* When creating a whetstone, 0.03kg of the rock shard is lost upon each failed creation attempt.
