* The journal is in no way related to the separate item, the [<ref>archaeology journal]</ref>.
* The journal is not craftable and cannot be lost. Every player has one from the very first moment of character creation.
* Successful completion of journal goals results in several rewards. One known reward is an increase in the player's maximum sleep bonus capacity.
