* Stringing with a [[bow string]] is needed to make the bow functional. Before that, examining it will say: "''An unstringed sturdy bow.''" A bow must be unstrung in order to improve it.
* Iron bows exist in the game. These were a reward from a special historical event and are quite rare. They cannot be crafted. They look like regular wooden bows.
* Reflex Bow deals more damage than a Shortbow but less than a Longbow.
