Toggling the lawful button to off allows you to ignore rules set by the [[settlement token]] for the area, permitting any actions. Keep in mind that breaking laws by this means will lower your [[reputation]] quickly, which may force any guards in the area to attack you on sight. A common use of this is removing items from within another's [[house]] if it is illegal by the settlement token, such as it is in [[Newtown]].
