==Description==
Digging is a skill of terraforming, or moving dirt around, it is used either to raise a tile, or lower one. The act of digging requires a [[shovel]]. Activate a shovel and right-click a tile (any but rock) and select '''Dig'''. This will lower the ground and put 1x of the tile compound in your inventory. The ground is lowered at the closest corner to where you are standingincreases several [[characteristics]], [[body strength]], rather than where you click. Please note[[body stamina]], dirt is dug from corners of tiles and the corner of reference is where you were standing when the digging finished.[[mind logic]]
So if you want to lower ==Method==Activate a tile stand in the corner of the tile activate your [[shovel, ]] and right -click>a tile (It is not possible to dig on [[Rock]] tiles) and select '''Dig '''. This will lower the corner you are standing on. To lower ground and put 1x of the whole tilecompound in your [[inventory]]. Please note, you must stand in each dirt is dug from corners of tiles and the four corners in turn and dig. This corner of reference is where you were standing when the same for raising a tile, just drop dirt instead of digdigging finished.
When To lower a whole tile, you think you have must stand in each of the four corners and dig. To raise a tile nearly flat , you can find out if it is perfectly flat by right clicking>flatten. You will then get must drop dirt on the message 'The ground is flat here' in the event windowtile corner.
To check if a tile is flat, you can either right-click a tile and click -> [[flattening|flatten]] or by examaning a tiles borders. If all tile borders say ''<nowiki>'The slope is flat'</nowiki>'', the tile is flat. You can also see the difference in height between one side and the other of a tile, by using examine on a tile's borders. The reference will be a certain number of units of material either away from you or toward you relative to where you're standing. If for For example , the slope is two dirts toward you, go to the other end of the tile border you clicked examined and dig twice to level the edge in question.

==Digging for rock==
If you want to dig for a rock tile you must be aware that you probably have to dig a lot of dirt. To start you must dig a reasonable distance above water, keep digging in one corner till until you "hit rock" or you do not have enough skill to dig deepercontinue digging. Once you hit rock in one corner you then must then dig until you hit rock in the all other corners of the tileuntil they have all hit rock. When you hit rock in all four corners the rock tile will be uncovered.  ==Associated guides==:* [[Guides/Flattening|Flattening]]<br>:* [[Guides/Landbridges|Landbridges]]<br>:* [[Guides/FlatRaising|FlatRaising]]<br>
