=== 1. Ingredients ===

* To forage for food ingredients, find a patch of grass, and right-click on a grass tile then select Nature -> Forage.
* You will have to forage many different grass patches to obtain ingredients, and it's best to move away from NT for this, as each grass patch can only be foraged once in any 24h period. Hence, you need to find grass that nobody has foraged in the last 24h.
* Find a few berries, nuts and herbs before moving on to stage 2 of this tutorial.
=== 2. Pottery Bowl ===

# You will need clay to make a pottery bowl. Clay is found near water.
# From the NT token look east. You will be looking across the riverThere are clay tiles just outside of New Town, and you can see a switche-backed dirt packed road heading up the steep hill on the far side. # Swim across the lake to that road. # Walk/climb up the road located to the top of the hill. # The road continues eastward and arrives at the "old town" deed. # Again walk around the deed north and continue east. # If you will walk through an extended forest area on a gentle downward slope. # You will come to a rather small lake. Swim to the opposite shore. # At this point you want to turn a bit more north. There is a small hump and just on the other side of the hump is a second, much larger lake. # When you reach the second lake, follow the right-hand shore for about 5 minutes. You will see a very steep mountain ahead of you that looks like it's at by the far side edge of the lake. Just keep following the right hand shore and eventually you will see sand and next to it the claywater. This journey should take you 30-45 minutes.(Thanks to PinkDiasy for the Directions)
# Once you find a clay tile, open your inventory and double-click your shovel to 'activate' it.
# With the shovel 'active', right-click on your clay tile and select 'dig.'# You should then obtain a piece of clay in your inventory. Find your Right Hand in the 'Body' inventory, and make it active by double-clicking.
# Right-click on the clay. Select create -> containers -> clay bowl.
# If creation of the bowl fails, repeat the steps until you succeed. If you make an unfinished clay bowl, keep trying until you make a finished one. As with anything else in Wurm, you will fail often when first trying something. Be patient and keep trying.
# Make a few clay bowls and perhaps also a clay jar while you're at it.
# Clay bowls must be fired into pottery bowls before they become useful.
