In the old system, spiders were very dangerous, and it was quite common to be killed by one when running through the forest. Now, they are much less common and they have been severely nerfed. A huge spider can be killed quite easily by a character with 25 fighting, dual 40ql longswords, and 50ql studded leather.
#Using a full set of [[:Category:Chain armour|chain]] or [[:Category:Plate armour|plate armour]]
#Check the age of the spider. A young spider is an easy kill. An aged spider will aim for the head and may cause up to 30 damage through a (30QL) great helm in one hit.
