Birch trees are a relatively common species that have been held in high regard for quite some time as the ideal 'fuel tree'. Contrary to popular belief, birchwood does NOT Birchwood will burn any better longer than fuel an equal weight of any typeother wood; however, it cannot exceed the burn time cap so most time this bonus is wasted. Birch does spread relatively quicker however, and may be an ideal substitute for pine if planted in larger numbers.
