If you dig on a kelp tile, you create a [[dirt tile]]. All the kelp tiles surrounding the digged corner will also turn into dirt tiles.
Dropping dirt/sand however will raise the kelp without destroying it, allowing deep tiles to be harvested.

Kelp tiles occur naturally underwater and spread like [[grass tile|grass tiles]].
[[Kelp]] can be gathered from them using a [[sickle]], and they it can also be [[botanizing|botanized]].. If you dig on a kelp tile, you create a [[dirt tile]].
