Description
Hedges are planted on tile borders using 5 sprouts of the same type per border. As hedges grow, they will appear taller ranging from low, medium, and peak.
== Notes Different Hedge Types ==* Hedges are borders or fences that are built on tile borders, using 5 sprouts per tile of the same type<gallery>Image:Cedar_hedge.png | Cedar hedgeImage:Camellia_hedge.png | Camellia hedgeImage:Oleander_hedge.jpg | Oleander hedgeImage: Thorn hedge. jpg | Thorn hedge**Hedges can't be planted on crop tile borders or packed dirt tile borders or on the border of an arched wallImage: Rose hedge.jpg | Rose hedge**Failure is possible - Sadly, the sprout does not survive despite your best effortsImage:high_maple_hedge. A sickle can also be used to destroy a low hedge.* Can also be destroyed just as any other fence using a bashing tool. Catapultsteppes can also work on them. ** , or Body strengthgrass of 21 is required(including trees and bushes). ** Pruning hedge to medium or low length before bashing increase the damage tremendously.* Wild growthCrops advances a hedge 1 growth stage (makes low medium, and medium high, if the hedge type grows that tall).* Prune with a sicklepacked dirt (or other bladed tools) to make them 1 growth stage shorter. * All hedges start at low height, which does do not impede movement. They will then grow to medium height upon which they become impassable and eventually reach peak height (tall count as a house wall)dirt. The two exceptions to this are:** The tile type can be changed after planting without destroying the hedge (unless both tiles become Lavenderrock hedges stay at ).* Hedges cannot be planted on the lowest height and therefore remain passablesame border as an arched wall of any type.** Camellia hedges stop growing upon reaching medium heightHedges don't have slope limitations for creating, which permits seeing over the hedge while blocking movementunlike fences.* Hedges can be temporarily trimmed shorter by pruning but Failure to plant will regrow againdestroy one sprout.
Growth
* Newly planted hedges are 'low' and wont block movement until reaching a height of 'medium', or line of sight until 'high'.
* The spell Wild Growth will progress a hedge one stage towards its peak height.
* Hedges can be pruned one stage shorter per pruning action using a sickle (to a minimum of 'low'), but will eventually re-grow unless destroyed.
* Hedges do not shrivel with age.
* Lavender hedges stay at the lowest height and therefore remain passable.
* Camellia hedges stop growing upon reaching medium height, blocking movement but allowing line of sight.
* Hedges do not blossom with seasonal produce nor do they produce sprouts.
