** The creature in question must be cared for by the person using the nameplate.

** Can only be used on domestic animals as well as unicorns and hell horses.

** A creature is considered domestic if it can be groomed. An exception is that [[bison]] cannot use the nameplate.

** The creature must have [[Age#Creatures|aged]] into its adult form, e.g. a Young [[foal]] must age into a Young [[horse]] before the nameplate can be used.
