Due to the server crash in April 2007, they were lost but were given back after the reset as trinkets (regardless of whether you had one or not). Spyglasses works like telescopes, if allowing you play this game to zoom your view in, increase your highlight distance and providing you will suffer harsh punishments with a distance measurement. This makes the spyglass useful for scouting the land, finding players or hunting targets and measuring exact tile distances at archery.
