In Wurm, a player character can have multiple accounts, or alternative/alternate characters (alts). However, it is frowned upon and there are some restrictions which make it illegal to abuse alts. Abuse of alts is any action taken using an alt to gain an unfair advantage for a player's main character, at no risk to one's primary account, that would otherwise be unavailable to the user via normal gameplay.

Aside from this any alternate premium character is treated as a main character under the game rules and is held to the same regard as such.
