The destruction of the Bone Altar is one of the goals in the war between [[Jenn-Kellon]] and [[Horde of the Summoned]]. It is rumoured that destroying a great altar requires your followers to have more then 5000 faith in total. The [[break altar]] spell or a certain [[:category:artifact|artifact]] can be used to destroy an altar. Damaging one of the altars triggers a server-wide event message.
The effects of destroying the Bone Altar are not known. Some as follows (these were learned from the results of the more popular rumoursa bug, and may change):
* Removal of the ability to become BL a WL priest/or champion.* Removal of all black light spells* Respawning of the uniques* Arrival of The Wurm. WL priests and champions
