Veins are found underground in mines. From veins a range of metal ores may be mined.
- Each vein has a unique quality, which caps the quality of the ore mined from it.
- Each vein contains a random amount of ore anywhere between 1 and 10000 and can be depleted.
- On the surface veins may be prospected for from any rock tile.
- Underground with enough prospecting skill it's possible to tell the rough quality of veins and how much ore is left in them.
