A corpse is the result of killing NPCs (animals, tower guards, etc), and other players. A corpse is used for (and left after) butchering. Burying a corpse gives a small amount of digging skill. If the corpse is a human then burying it will increase your alignment by 5.==Description==

It *A corpse is believed that burying used for (and left after) butchering. *Burying a corpse gives a small amount of digging skill and if the corpse may affect spawn rates for creatures, but this is unlikely because corpses a player then burying it can increase alignment by 1 point. A dirt tile must be picked upleast three dirts above rock or water at each corner to allow burying, and the player must use a shovel to do so. This means they are classified as items by the server and their creature slot Burial of a corpse on a rock tile requires using a pickaxe instead.*Corpses decay relatively quickly unless inside a cave. Once it has decayed, any items on the server is now freed up for corpse will form a pile of items.*Corpses may be also buried beneath a new spawn to gravestone.*Corpses cannot be renamed.*Corpses cannot be createdmailed.== Images ==<gallery heights=300px mode="packed-hover">File:corpse_human.png|Corpse of a player</gallery><gallery heights=300px mode="packed-hover">File:corpse.jpg|Corpse of a brown bear</gallery>

Corpses vary greatly in weight, and many are too heavy to be lifted by regular players. The age and hunger state of the creature does not affect corpse weight.

Oddly enough, butchering a corpse does not affect its weight either.
