==Description = Improvements =A forge made from stone bricks and clay, intended for smelting and smithing. == Method ==To improve a forgeActivate the brick, you must first right -click, and examine the |forge. In the Event windowclay you , and select Create > Containers > forge. The unfinished forge will see what drop in front of you need to work on the forge to improve its qualityground. Right-click it with either another clay or brick activated, and choose Continue building.
In all cases :* Subsequent clay can be taken from a single big lump piece by piece. However, the lump will become progressively more damaged if you fail attaching it will either require a stone chisel to chip away irregularities or rock shards.
To improve light the forge, activate a steel and flint with a stone chiselkindling:#Equip a stone chisel from in your inventory#Right , then right-click on the stone forge and select ImprovementsLight/. To then fuel the forge, activate any wooden item, right-click the forge and select ChipBurn. Alternatively, the fuel can be placed inside the forge, letting the fire damage do the rest.
To improve with rock shards:#Equip a rock shards from your inventory#Right click on the stone forge and select Improvements/Improve== Burn time ==
== Usage ==:*Smelting metal ore into lumps.:*Heating The quality level of a forge affects both how long it stays lit for and how long it takes to heat up items.:*Cooking
Cooking in a A 74 quality forge is not recommended because there is a larger chance will burn for roughly 2 hours 40 minutes with 20kg of burning your food. For cooking it would be better to use a stone ovenfuel. However, because of the increased difficulty of cooking, many people do cook in forges for the increased skill gain.
== Tips ==:* The first lump of clay you use (when starting the forge) will be completely consumed even if it is a 20kg lump.:* Subsequent use of clay can be taken from a single 20kg lump, however that is inefficient since the lump will become progressively more damaged.:* The quality level of a forge is a factor in both how long it stays lit for and how long it takes to heat up items. Example: a 40QL forge will take 20 minutes to get iron lumps glowing (may also depend on quality of lumps).:* A 70 60 quality level forge burns with burn for 115 about 30 minutes with 20kg of 44q peat set to burn in it. :* If using wood scrap as fuel 1 kindling only burn 20kg at a time. A 40QL forge will last for approximately 40 minutes before it needs refueling (more than 20kg does not seem to effect how long the forge lasts at any QL).:* A forge will hold 28 ore at most. However, using a cauldron allows the forge to hold more things.:* Tar and other no fuel sorces can also be used; some burn better than others. See fuel enough to allow cleaning for more infoash.

NB: Would be helpful if others could give me other values for ore/forge combinations. Accurate to one minute pleaseForges with rare properties heat up contained items more quickly and stay lit longer than their regular counterparts.
Notes
* Only 10 kg of fuel is needed at a time; any more is unnecessary. QL of fuel does not seem to affect burning time.
* Put items in cauldrons or backpacks inside the forge to allow it to hold more items.
* A forge will hold 8 cauldrons.
* A forge will hold at most 28 ore.
* Items that can be burned like tar or wooden items will take damage in forges once they are almost searing hot. If the item can be repaired, it will lose QL but show no damage.
* Items can be placed onto it (if there is enough room) and will be heated if the forge is hot. Wooden or otherwise flammable items placed on the forge will be burned.
* Any fuel source can be burned in the forge for fuel. This method is the same as Activating the fuel and selecting Burn in the actions menu.
* Loading requires a wagon. Currently, the forge takes up the same space as 3 large crates within the wagon.
* While a large cart can hold 3 large crates (equivalent size of a forge within a wagon), the cart cannot contain a forge.
* Planted forges will not take damage on deeds.
* Can be cleaned of ash with an activated shovel.
* A rendered forge requires one extra clay to build.
