Description
A natural fence made from planting Hedges are planted on tile borders using 5 sproutsof the same type per border. The lowest height of hedge does not block movementAs hedges grow, they will appear taller ranging from low, medium, and peak.
It appears that different hedges will grow to different possible heights== Different Hedge Types ==<gallery>Image:Cedar_hedge.png | Cedar hedgeImage:Camellia_hedge.png | Camellia hedgeImage:Oleander_hedge.jpg | Oleander hedgeImage: Thorn hedge.jpg | Thorn hedgeImage: Rose hedge.jpg | Rose hedgeImage:high_maple_hedge.jpg | Maple hedgeImage:lavender_plantation.jpg | Lavender plantations</gallery>
Lavender stays at the lowest height. This pretty lavender hedge will probably not grow further. Also, the mouse-over reads a "Lavender plantation", rather than "hedge". == Hedge Materials Planting==Confirmed * The types of hedge sprouts that can be used to create hedges are: LavenderCamellia, CamelliaCedar, OleanderLavender, RoseMaple, ThornOleander, CedarRose, and MapleThorn.* Hedges are planted on tile borders using 5 sprouts of the same type per border. Types that are not available are: * Hedges can only be planted on borders where at least one of the bordering tiles is Grapedirt, Applesteppe, or Cherrygrass, (including trees and bushes). **LemonCrops, and Olivepacked dirt, Birch, Pine, Oak, Willow(Nobody has managed to grow those in hedges yetdo not count as dirt.) == Creating ==A total of 5 sprouts of ** The tile type can be changed after planting without destroying the same type are needed to plant a hedge. Unlike actual fences, there is no skill requirement based on the tile border's slope. You need to have at least 5 sprouts of the same kind in your inventory. Note that failure is possible - (unless Sadly, the sprout does not survive despite your best efforts.both You lose one sprout if you fail. == Improving ==Can`t be improved == Growing ==Takes 2 to 3 days to grow from low to medium. tiles become Wild growthrock advances them 1 length  Prune with a sickle (or other bladed tools) to make them 1 growth shorter. (On deed * Hedges cannot be planted on the manage option same border as an arched wall of any type.* Hedges don'can cut old trees' must be enabled)t have slope limitations for creating, unlike fencesA sickle can also be used * Failure to plant will destroy a low hedge. == Height ==Short hedge - Does not stop player or animal movement. Meduim Hedge - Stops movement but can be seen over. Prime Hedge - Stops movement, can not be seen over, Same height as a house wallone sprout.
Growth
* Newly planted hedges are 'low' and wont block movement until reaching a height of 'medium', or line of sight until 'high'.
* The spell Wild Growth will progress a hedge one stage towards its peak height.
* Hedges can be pruned one stage shorter per pruning action using a sickle (to a minimum of 'low'), but will eventually re-grow unless destroyed.
* Hedges do not shrivel with age.
* Lavender hedges stay at the lowest height and therefore remain passable.
* Camellia hedges stop growing upon reaching medium height, blocking movement but allowing line of sight.
* Hedges do not blossom with seasonal produce nor do they produce sprouts.

== Trivia Notes ==As * With a priest Body strength of 21, hedges can't attach parts, this is the only be destroyed by a fenceHatchet type they can buildor any bashing tool.* Low hedges are easier to destroy than taller hedges.* The border under a hedge cannot be terraformed without first destroying the hedge.
