Lava fiend

First Lava Fiend spotted near Cliffside on January 30th, 2007.

Upon examine it says:-

  "These Lava creatures enter the surface through lava pools, probably in order to hunt. Or burn."

Description

Creates Fires every few tiles or so as it passes over them. Also appears to be ablaze.
Strength between a bear and a spider possibly even higher than a spider. (Unconfirmed)
Primarily does burn damage, along with biting and kicking attacks.
Hits very fast.
Very heavily armoured.
Cannot do ranged attacks.
Can pass unlocked gates. (Unconfirmed)
Can't swim.
Moves fast.
Butchering products - Meat, Lava fiend charcoal and Lava fiend flint.
