== Inscribing ==
It is possible to write notes on a papyrus sheet. * Fill a [[reed pen]] with [[black ink]] or [[dye]]* Activate the reed pen* Right-click the papyrus sheet and select ''Inscribe''* Enter the text in the window and click send After a papyrus sheet is inscribed it gets the option to 'read inscription', which opens a window with the inscribed text. The number of letters you can write on a sheet of papyrus is 121 + (pen QL * 2). Decimals are counted, so a 40.50ql pen allows one more letter than a 40.49ql pen.{{Inscribing}}
* The amount of letters you can inscribe is affected by:
:*QL of Papyrus Sheet
:*QL of Reed Pen
:*QL of dye or ink
:*Dye has an offset of 10 letters
:*Ink has an offset of 100 letters.
The number of letters you can inscribe is therefore equal to "(the offset) + (QL of dye/ink) + (QL of papyrus sheet) + (QL of reed pen)"
* Trying to drop papyrus sheets into a [[bulk storage bin]] returns the message: ''The inscription on the papyrus sheet would be destroyed''.
:* Blank papyrus sheets can be placed into a [[bulk storage bin]] without issue.
* The inscription contains some characters that are too complex for you to inscribe - you are limited by the characters that you can use when renaming an item in game. If you try to use question marks, you will get an error message.
