With 40ql to 50ql Lanterns and iron torch lamp. And a 94ql lantern. Dyed in a range of Black, white and Blue. I am unable to notice anything else than the light dims a little when dyed black, No effect on other light sources.
Aye under the current lighting code, using black dye just greys out the light a little. It used to be that using high QL white would brighten the source a little, except brass that was unpaintable.
