The following need confirmation. This is how it seems to me but it may not be 100% accurate.

* Maple imps fast but ?takes more damage/decay?
* Cedar imps slower than Maple but definately takes more damage over time than Pine.
* Willow is between Cedar and Pine on both counts(?)
* Pine is harder to imp than either Maple or Cedar but decays slower than both.
* Birch is harder to imp than Pine and ?decays even slower?
* Oak is the hardest wood to imp but takes a long time to damage/decay
* Lemon and Olive are ???
