Once my rod dipped below 90 ql I was unable to catch any special fish except octopus at level 66-70. It seems rod ql drastically effects catch chance. 7/4/23 Godrobotswife
== Clam Fishing ==
While attempting to get The super rare black pearl, I have found it will most likely take months. Clam Tile gives Around 4 clams per hour at 20 fishing below. Net ql doesn't seem to make a difference as I obtained more clams on a lvl 13 fishing skill alt with a 30 ql net than I did with a botd 89 70 ql net. After opening well over 50 clams I obtained 3 reg low ql pearls. some iron lumps, seeds, an un identified fragment, a reinforced handle, Lots of seafood meat, and nothing on most of them. Making this challenge huge. Expect to fish on numerous toons for days, weeks, maybe even months for this black pearl.
