Net ql doesn't seem to make a difference as I obtained more clams on a lvl 13 fishing skill alt with a 30 ql net than I did with a botd 89 70 ql net. After opening well over 50 clams I obtained 3 reg low ql pearls. some iron lumps, seeds, an un identified fragment, a reinforced handle, Lots of seafood meat, and nothing on most of them.
